Redomino translates Kupu editor

Document Actions
Redomino made the Italian translation of Kupu, Plone official editor.
Kupu is an Open Source textual editor. It is workable and simple to use, complete and suitable to be used even on professional web sites.

A WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editor is a software allowing content manipulation so that you can get text and/or images with the same graphics you have on the screen.

Editors are useful for creating, editing, laying out and deleting contents and aim to make the writing of a text easier.

Compared to other editors, it is more familiar and desktop-style. The visual editor also has an option to hide everything but the editor itself — letting you focus on what's important: producing high-quality content.

Kupu in Maori means "word" and in Indonesia lives a type of butterfly called Kupu Kupu: here is, where the name and the logo of this powerful textual editor come from.

Kupu can be used on Mozilla, Netscape and Internet Explorer browsers. Inspired by Epoz editor, it is born to improve the JavaScript code and architecture, and to support other standards.

Kupu is Plone official editor and finally it is at Italian users complete disposal. People using Kupu to edit and change texts will find an interface in Italian, which will make its use easier and faster.

The Italian translation of Kupu will be available starting from its next version, but if someone is willing to use it immediately, it can download the translated files:
