Linux Day 2005 in Turin

Linux Day, dedicated to GNU/Linux and Free Software, comes this year to its fifth Italian edition. The event, fixed on November 26th, is organized by the Italian Linux Society, the Linux Users Groups and all organizations, which in Italy promote topics related to Free Software.
Linux Day will be divided, as last editions, into local events organized by the various LUGs. In Turin
the event will take place, as usually, on two sessions: in the morning
at the Politecnico of Turin, in the afternoon at the I.T.I.S. Peano.The programme includes several technical talks, basic Linux courses to help inexpert participants approaching Linux world and a Linux Installation Party, during which a group of assistants will help everyone in installing and configuring Linux on its own PC.
Redomino suggests to all interested people to be present at the talk "Plone Revolution", during which Giuseppe Masili and Fabrizio Reale will show the new implemented features of Plone 2.1 release, a very powerful content management system.
The speakers will explain all Plone potentials, an ideal tool for web sites, intranets, e-commerce and document management. Meanwhile, users will have the opportunity to verify personally the easiness of use and the flexibility of Plone.
Linux Day will involve even the province of Turin. In Pinerolo the association "Software Libero Pinerolo" will join the day organizing conferences, an installation party and workshops, where technicians and enthusiasts will introduce free software and projects.
Davide Corio, co-founder of Redomino, will entertain the audience with a technical talk on Gimp, a free software for the graphical bitmap production. The speaker will explain its features and its several uses, which have been able to compete with Gimp business opponents, like Adobe Photoshop.
The 2004 Linux Day edition was supported by more than a hundred cities and a huge amount of audience. Redomino invites not to miss the 2005 edition of an event, which during the last years became more and more successful.
