Zope is an Open Source web-server application written in Python.

Plone is a free Open Source content management system.

We chose Zope because, unlike the majority of CMS, it can be used on any platforms, it allows to define easily the XML-structured documents and it is the ideal solution for big organizations.

We chose Plone because it puts at disposal an efficient framework for the internet navigation and an easy creation of even complex structured documents.

The result is an extremely fast and easy-to-use web site, with the following characteristics:

• updating from the inside of the web site;
• possibility of using it by users without a particular training;
• easy management and lay-out;
• centralized authentication mechanism;
• accessibility to handicapped users (Plone is the first world CMS, completely obeying to W3C standards);
• comprehensibility and simplicity in URL using;
• promotion of the users contents writing;
• very light XHTML  interface;
• modularity of the system elements;
• possibility to connect to any relational supported by Zope database;
• use of XML  standard to realize templates;
• workflow management based on their real necessities.

The web site contents are:

• checkable from all over the world through ordinary browsers;
• easy to build up by any users;
• supplied with activation and expiration date;
• managed by a powerful categorization and organization system;
• indexed and easy-to-find from the internal search engine.

Moreover, in the Extranet, will be enclosed EPOZ WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get), an editor easy to integrate, personalize and expand with an avant-garde technology.
