Capable and extensible content types
Since Plone provides a lot of useful functionality by default, many
customers use the standard content types. Plone 2.1 has significantly
improved these.
In addition, the new content types can be extended by customers who need extra fields and features
- Content can refer to other content with an easy interface for authors.
- Images now support scaling and thumbnail generation.
- Events now support the iCal and vCal standards for desktop calendar integration.
- Content supports multilingual sites out-of-the-box using LinguaPlone.
- All content types are now Archetypes-based, giving them a rich set of additional services like transformations and validation.
