Wireless
Wireless nets (WLAN) are a flexible communication system which uses the RF radio frequence technology for the data transmission and reception.
The reference protocol for WLAN is 802.11 IEEE (Institute of Electrical
and Electronics Engineers) approved at the beginning of Nineties.
The minimal configuration to create this type of net needs at least two computers, with a Wi-Fi card, a global standard which uses a 2.4 GHz radio band.
For a more professional solution it is better to install an Access Point which should provide a radio coverage of every positions.
Wireless technology permits a data transmission speed from 11 to 54 Mbps and it is particularly suitable for dynamic management of the positions.
